WEEKLY ZOOM PAINT-ALONGS

Days and time fluctuate according to participants needs.

What to expect:

  • Beginners receive a list of basic supplies ranging in price from frugal to professional quality.

  • A sketch and photo provided via email for you to be ready to paint when the workshop starts.

  • A live demonstration of watercolor techniques including color theory, value and color studies,  and other techniques. As questions arise. Everyone participates and shares their work as the see fit.

  • If you are not a beginner this is a chance to meet other watercolor painters and find out about materials, instructors, societies, shows.

MONTHLY 3-HOUR HAND-ON ZOOM WORKSHOPS

What to expect:

  • Learn the water-to-paint ratio and other concepts to get the transparent effect characteristic of watercolor.

  • Practice specific techniques with short painting exercises.

  • Explore composition principles to design a pleasant landscape

  • Paint incidental figures for cityscapes and people scenes.

  • Get a primer on perspective with tips to apply in all your paintings

  • Suggested donation: $15-20

What you need:

  • A smartphone, tablet, laptop or desk computer with the Zoom application, Facetime or Skype. 

  • A well-lit space or natural light.
